In a tragic event on Saturday night, a vehicle plunged into the Shipra River in the Ujjain district of Madhya Pradesh. The police reported that the incident took place around 8:45 PM.
According to Ujjain Superintendent of Police Pradeep Sharma, a white car was seen going off a bridge into the river. He stated, "The incident was reported at approximately 8:45 PM."
Witnesses and police on duty indicated that there were at least two individuals in the car, including the driver and a passenger in the front seat, although this information has not been officially verified. Several teams from the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) are gearing up to search for the vehicle.
It has been revealed that the occupants of the car were police personnel traveling for a case-related matter. The vehicle included a station in-charge, a sub-inspector, and a female constable. The car reportedly lost control and fell into the river, which is currently swollen due to recent rainfall, complicating rescue efforts.
